So that as many people as possible can enjoy the mixing of various period couples variations (e.g. Polka Russe, Cross Step Polka, Esmeralda, Ostendaise, Military Schottische, Double Schottische, Ganglovienne, Double Glide Waltz, revers waltz, La Koska, etc) and help all those sets formation dances go as smoothly as possible (especially those recently reconstructed Quadrilles), we are hoping everyone within reach of Canberra over the next two Sundays will make a point of coming to the pre-Ball ‘Dancing on the Lake’ classes at the YMCA Sailing Club, from 3:30 to 6:00pm, Sunday 3rd and 10th May.

In Queen Victoria’s time everyone went to dance classes for years (indeed, John will bring along one Sunday a copy of the diary of Victoria's own family’s dancing master- along with some other period manual) so don’t be afraid to come to just 2 classes before what will be a wonderful ball!

Tickets to EDHDA activities ARE NOT REFUNDABLE, but are transferable. Purchasing tickets to a EDHDA activity is the same as buying tickets to the Symphony, Ballet, or Theatre. If you have purchased tickets to a EDHDA activity and are unable to attend, you may sell your tickets to someone else, but EDHDA does not make refunds.
